Unique, fully engraved Patek Philippe Nautilus Ref. 5711/1500A charity watch Benefit for Action for Children.

Continuing its annual tradition, Patek Philippe has just released a unique piece to benefit Action for Children: the Nautilus Ref. 5711/1500A. Made entirely of stainless steel and fully engraved, the Nautilus Ref. 5711/1500A is planned to be sold at auction, with all proceeds going to the Geneva charity.

The engraved Nautilus is the latest watch Patek Philippe has created for the Geneva charity. Previous watches include the titanium Calatrava Pilot Travel Time ref. 5524T and last year's titanium green dial ref. 5270T.

The case, bezel, bracelet and caseback are all hand-engraved with a "Maori style" pattern that complements the dark grey dial. While various Nautilus models have featured aftermarket engravings in the past, this is the first original example to be decorated in this way.

The Patek Philippe catalog does include several complicated watches adorned with engravings, most notably the Sky Moon Tourbillon ref. 6002, but they are all complicated and made in precious metals. This is the first and only Nautilus (or sports watch of any kind) to feature an engraved case, and the only one in steel.

The watch comes with a pair of matching engraved steel cufflinks, which are also unique since Patek Philippe normally only sells cufflinks in gold.
