Just 30 Downton mini coopers were produced to showcase the relaunch of Downton Engineering; this is one of only 5 featuring the full Clubman specification; has the number '001' on it's plaques and is the original factory demonstrator.
1310cc 'A' series, fully balanced (crank, rods, pistons and flywheel) uprated bearings set, Downton 10.5:1 compression ratio pistons, Downton camshaft, Stage 3 modified head with silicone bronze guides, stainless steel valves and sport airlifter.
Standard four speed manual with uprated clutch and 3:1 final drive ratio.
AP Racing front calipers with drilled and grooved discs, rear drums with uprated shoes.
Koni adjustable dampers front and rear, rear anti-roll bar, solid front subframe top tower mounts, negative camber front bottom arms and rear back plates, Downton camber and castor angle set.
6J x 12in CR Minilite style wheels with Yokohama tyres.
Rover White Diamond / Downton green roof. Clubsport graphics, Group 5 wheel arches, carbon fibre bonnet and bootlid, Mk1 Grille and rear lamps.
Corbeau reclining bucket seat, rear seats, doorcards, rear trim panels and dash trimmed in dark grey Alcantra, green stitching throughout, black velvetone carpet, with green piping, rear rollcage in Downton green, 130 mph center dial speedo and dash mounted 8000rpm rev counter.
Just 15,600 miles travelled and in superb original condition. Full supporting history with original showroom brochures/invoices etc.
